September 11, 2023 – After losing a leg to bone cancer while in the Air Force, Sarah Evans fought back, using the recreation therapy to find new opportunity. She has since climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, run a marathon in the desert and done CrossFit. Now she has been asked to represent her country once again, as part of the first ever U.S. Women’s Amputee Soccer team.

The U.S. team will play against Poland on Sept. 17 and Evans is looking forward to being a part of history.

Viera congratulates Sarah Evans and appreciates the dedication she has to living her best life and for her work in inspiring others.
